Classic Italian Bruschetta
This classic Italian appetizer is fresh and delicious on any of our focaccias, the crowd favorite is the garlic Parmesan focaccia.
● 6 roma tomatoes, 1 1/2 lbs, diced
● 1/3 cup basil leaves, chopped
● 5 garlic cloves, divided
● 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
● 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
● 1/2 tsp sea salt
● 1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions:
1. Chop all the ingredients and mix in a bowl.
2. Drizzle the oil and vinegar on top & mix well. For best results let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour to let the flavors meld. Mix occasionally but do not over-mix as you will mush the tomatoes too much.
3. Serve on toasted focaccia bread. Optional: drizzle with balsamic glaze.
